Attracting, educating, and serving remote users through the weba how-to-do-it manual for librarians Facet Publishing 2002The information on this companion website was compiled by Ian Winship, Electronic Services Manager, Learning Resources Department, University of Northumbria at Newcastle in March 2002.This website is intended to be used as a companion to the book Attracting, educating, and serving remote users through the web edited by Donnelyn Curtis. The book is written by staff at the library of the University of Nevada, Reno USA, so the emphasis is mainly, but not totally, on US academic practice. Nevertheless the ideas are not restricted to the US or to universities and not always just to remote use. The notes here provide context and appropriate resources for readers in the UK and Europe. They are arranged by chapter - a brief indication of the content of the chapter is first given in the [ ]. |
